The role
As lead developer I’m the driving force in the development team. I guard the quality and direction of all software development, coach junior colleagues and act as Scrum Master. Besides Python, I work on a full-stack PHP/Laravel web application.
What I do
- Design architecture improvements for stability, scalability and maintainability, including a plan to migrate the Laravel application to microservices on Kubernetes.
- Migrate an application from NodeJS to Python, including a new architecture (AsyncIO).
- Move an application from a Raspberry Pi to a scalable Docker environment, including a custom orchestration tool.
- Build and maintain REST and GraphQL APIs, with algorithms for processing and analysing sensor data.
- Integrate third-party services for login, invoicing and payments (Auth0, Chargebee).
- Build CI pipelines and guard software quality within the team (Jenkins, Docker).
- Guide the team’s switch from Scrum to Kanban.
